BATON ROUGE, La - Texas Southern fell to LSU 86-36 on Tuesday afternoon in the Maravich Assembly Center.
Makenna Pouengue led Texas Southern in scoring with 12 points. Keiana Vines also contributed eight points to help, while Toni Cheadle grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
LSU finished with five players in double figure points as Shanice Norton led the team in scoring with 15 points, followed by Jenna Deemer with 14, Alexis Hyder and Jasmine Rhodes with 13 apiece and Rina Hill with 12. Hyder also led the team in rebounding and assists, grabbing nine and dishing six.
For the game, Texas Southern shot 32 percent from the field and forced 6 turnovers.
The Lady Tigers will get the opportunity to play in front of their home crowd this weekend as the team host Houston Baptist at the HPE Arena on Saturday, Dec. 5
th at 2:00 pm.
