Lady Tigers play well in a competitive 2-0 loss to Howard

Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers soccer team lost a hard fought 2-0 loss to the Howard Bison on Friday.

The final score was in no way indicative to the level of competitiveness the Lady Tigers played with throughout the match.

"I'm extremely proud of this group of young ladies for the way the competed tonight," said TSU head coach Kathryn Saunders. "They battled through adversity and played at a high level all night."

TSU surrendered two goals in the contest with one goal being scored on a penalty kick.

The Lady Tigers will return back home to Houston this weekend before hitting the road once again for SWAC match-ups versus Southern and Jackson State.
