BATON ROUGE, La.-The Texas Southern Tigers dropped a 30-20 decision to Southern on the road.
TSU trailed 21-20 at halftime but the Tigers were held scoreless in the second half of play.
Jamal Small completed 11 passes for 117 yards. Jimmy Potepa scored on a 34 yard rush in the first half to put the Tigers on the board.
TSU took a 17-14 lead after a special teams score but Southern answered with another touchdown prior to intermission and the Jaguars never trailed from that point.
Texas Southern will look to rebound on Saturday, Nov. 15 in the final regular season game of the 2014 campaign versus Jackson State.
Kickoff is slated for 5:30 pm at the football program will honor the seniors on the team during pregame activities.
