HOUSTON-Texas Southern played one of their toughest games of the season on their home field, BBVA Compass Stadium.
They scored only two points in their 34-2 loss to Alabama State.
The Tigers never got their running game off the ground, but they did managed 223 yards in the air.
Homer Causey completed 16 of 26 passes for 178 yards with 1 interception. Jay Christophe and Earnest Carrington also got some playing time.
Dedric Shipman had 7 catches for 60 yards while Jaquaa Peters caught 4 passes for 51 yards.
The Tigers only score came in the fourth quarter when Amir Bloom dropped Arsenio Favor in the end zone for a safety.
Brandon Thomas led TSU with 11 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 3.5 TFL. Michael Holmes, Tray Walker and Darveon Trahan each had 10 tackles.
The Tigers go on the road to face Arkansas Pine Bluff on October 12th at 6:00pm.
