Gino Simoni joined the Athletics Compliance Office in July 2017 and serves as the Compliance Coordinator at Texas Southern University. Prior to his role in compliance, Simoni was on the Texas Southern University football coaching staff for five seasons.

Simoni’s roles on the football coaching staff included; 2015 running backs, 2014 offensive line/director of football operations, 2013 quarterbacks/director of football operations, 2012 offensive graduate assistant (quarterbacks), 2011 offensive graduate assistant (wide receivers).

As a student-athlete, Simoni played quarterback at College of the Sequoias, before transferring to Texas Southern University. He graduated from Texas Southern University in 2011 with a degree in General Studies. In 2013 he received his Master of Science Degree in Human Performance from Texas Southern University.

A native of Fresno, California - Simoni attended Buchanan High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He and his wife, Nagin, also a Texas Southern University graduate, have a daughter, Vienna, and two sons, Vincenzo, and Kayvon.
