Lovett begins her first season at TSU as the team's technical coordinator and assistant coach.
Lovett spent the 2024 season at the University of Georgia where she completed a career which spanned three schools in five years with 1,244 kills and 1,192 digs. While at Georgia, Lovett led the team offensively and at the service line with 3.07 kills per set and 0.34 aces per set while ranking second on the team with 2.58 digs per set. Her aces per set put her among the top servers in the league, finishing eighth in the category. In the SEC opener at Arkansas on Sept. 25, Lovett made her mark on Georgia's record book, breaking UGA's rally scoring record with 33 kills.Â
Prior to Georgia, Lovett graduated from the University ofT ennessee in May of 2024 with her Business Management degree and was a 2022 and 2023 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient. In 2023, Lovett recorded seven double-doubles on the season, against opponents such as Ole Miss, Florida, Texas, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, and San Diego. In 2022, Lovett finished the season with 379 kills, 312 digs, 53 assists, 30 blocks and 20 aces as she ranked 11th in the SEC in kills and was 16th in kills per set (3.27) while notching 14 double-doubles on the season. Lovett ended the year with an impressive 24 double-digit kill performances, including eight outings with 15 or more. She eclipsed the 20-kill margin three times, highlighted by career-best efforts with 21 against Florida (10/5) and South Carolina (10/8).Â
Prior to Tennessee, Lovett spent two seasons at Long Beach State. Although a season was lost due to COVID-19 protocols in California, Lovett came back stronger than ever in 2021 as she played in all 31 matches for the Beach. She finished second on the team in both kills (294) and kills per set (2.70). Lovett led Long Beach State in service aces with 42 and posted a team-leading average of 0.39 aces per set, and her service ace mark also led the Big West Conference. Â
Not only was Lovett a standout collegiate student athlete, she was also a high school phenom. Lovett attended McIntosh High School where she was a three-time All-State and All-Region selection, two-time player of the year, and Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year Finalist in 2018 and 2019. She accumulated more than 1,000 career kills in her prep career, hitting that milestone in her junior season. Lovett also guided her team to three straight 5A Championships in 2017, 2018, 2019. She was also a member of A5 South Volleyball Club, and won the USAV 15 National Championship.Â
