Sydnee Roby

Sydnee Roby joined the Texas Southern University women’s basketball staff in 2025 as a graduate assistant while pursuing her master’s degree. A decorated student-athlete, Roby began her collegiate career at the University of Miami (2019–2021), where she was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and competed on the women’s basketball team. She later transferred to Texas A&M University (2021–2023), earning her bachelor’s degree and being named the Most Improved Player for the 2021–2022 season. She also earned a spot on the Texas A&M Athletic Department Honor Roll in Fall 2022.

Roby’s athletic excellence was recognized early, receiving the U.S. House of Representatives Outstanding Athlete Award, being named Gatorade Player of the Year for Wisconsin, and earning a McDonald’s All-American Nomination—all in 2019.
