Tremaine Jackson joined the coaching staff at Texas Southern University in 2008 as an assistant coach of the defensive ends. In 2010, he was promoted to defensive line coach.  That season, Jackson’s defensive line was ranked #1 in the country among FCS programs.

Jackson, a former Texas Southern football player, came to TSU after serving as defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Trinity-Valley Community College in 2007.  

In 2006, he was the defensive line coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville.  Jackson served as a coach in the 2008 Texas versus the Nation All-Star Game and had the opportunity to work with coaching legend Gene Stallings.  In 2009, he also participated in the NFL minority internship program where he worked with the Houston Texans.

A Houston native, Jackson played two seasons on the offensive line under Bill Thomas after transferring from Louisiana-Monroe.  He and his wife, Charie, have a daughter, Harmony (4).
