Texas Southern had a successful Family Weekend with a doubleheader sweep over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday at Memorial Park.

TSU 9, UAPB 0
Kylie Wilson pitched a one-hitter and led the team with a pair of RBI as TSU won game one 9-0.
TSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the second as Lanay Carr drove in Dania Durr followed by Wilson's RBI which scored Katelyn Cooper.
TSU put the game away early in the third with a seven-run frame as Carr, Jade McQueen, Wilson and Marisa Perla all had RBI with Perla driving in three via a double to center. That was all TSU needed as Wilson closed the game out in the fifth with scoreless innings to secure the shutout.
Wilson, Carr and McQueen all had two hits while Perla drove in three runs.
TSU 5, UAPB 2
KateLynn Cooper drove in three runs as TSU earned the series win following a 5-2 win.
UAPB took a 1-0 lead in the second after a solo home run but Cooper answered in the bottom frame with a three-run homer which scored DaNia Durr and Jordyn Talbert.
With two outs in the third, TSU added on to its lead as Durr reached base following a UAPB error which allowed Maria Perla to score from second. Lanay Carr hit an RBI double to score Durr for the game's final run.
The pitching duo of Miranda Pena and Melonie Guardiola did the rest as Pena struck out five in six innings of action.
TSU is back in action on Tuesday against SFA at 3 p.m. inside Memorial Park.
