HOUSTON — Texas Southern volleyball dropped a three-set match to Houston Christian on Tuesday night at the Health & Physical Education Arena, falling 25-9, 25-16, 25-18.
The Tigers were led offensively by Gracie Hill, who recorded seven kills, followed by Kourtni Collier with four and Lauren Battle with three. Kennedi Walker paced the offense with 10 assists, while Ava Ray added nine and Morelia Diaz chipped in one.
Defensively, Battle led TSU with six digs, Hill added five, and Gracie Lee contributed four. At the net, Lee also led the blocking effort with two block assists, while Collier and Hill each added one.
Texas Southern served up three aces, one each from Collier, Walker and Diaz.
Texas Southern will look to regroup as it continues nonconference play this weekend in El Paso, Tx.
