Lindskog Ties For 3rd, Men's Golf Places 9th in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas - The Texas Southern men's golf team ensured heavy winds during the final round to post a team total of 903 (304 – 290 - 309) to finish in ninth place at the Colin Montgomerie – HCU Invitational hosted by Houston Christian University Tuesday. The tournament took place at Sweetwater Country Club on the Cypress Course.

Junior Kci Lindskog was the top-scoring Tiger as he finished tied for third place individually with his one-over-par 214 (76 – 68 – 70) total. His efforts included his final two rounds being under par. Lindskog carded a 1-under par 70 final round that included 4 birdies, 11 pars, and 3 bogeys.

Freshman Tristan Garrett (75 – 71 – 83) and sophomore Bradley Lavinier (76 – 75 – 78) were tied for 47th place on a 229. Freshman Yashal Shah was four strokes back on 233 (77 – 76 – 80) while freshman Ricardo Pham posted a 237 (79 – 77 – 81).

The Tigers return to action March 18-20, competing in the Hornet PR Invitational, which Alabama State is hosting in Puerto Rico.
