PONCE, PUERTO RICO - The Texas Southern men's golf team posted a 599 (299 – 300) overall score and is in fourth place at the end of day 1 of the ASU Hornet Invitational hosted by Alabama State University.
Freshman Yashal Shah leads the tournament individually after his 2-under-par opening rounds of 142 (70 – 72). Shah carded his two-under round in the morning with an opening round that included six birdies, eight pars, and four bogeys. His even-par afternoon round saw five birdies, eight pars, and five bogeys respectively. Senior Kci Lindskog is tied for 12th place with a 151 (78 – 73) while freshman Ricardo Pham is two strokes back on 153 (78 – 75). Teammates Bradley Lavinier carded a 155 (75 – 80) and Tristan Garrett posted a 157 (76 – 80), respectively.
