The 72nd annual TSU Relays kicks off Friday morning inside Durley Stadium on the Texas Southern University campus. The two-day event will feature over 100 professional, collegiate, high school and middle school teams.
Friday will feature collegiate and high school field events at 9 a.m. followed by high school running events at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, the university and additional high school running events kicks off at 8 a.m. while the field events start at 9 a.m.
At 3 p.m., the relays will hold its annual opening ceremonies inside Durley Stadium as TSU men's and women's track & field will honor its senior class. The TSU Relays Committee will also honor five special honorees which includes a pair of Olympians and TSU Relays alums in Fred Newhouse (1976 Gold & Silver Medalist) and 2020 Bronze Medalist Raevyn Rogers.
Immediately following the opening ceremonies, the running events will resume on the track.
