HOUSTON, Texas – Texas Southern surrendered 16 hits in a 13-2 loss to Stephen F. Austin Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers were down early, trailing 7-0 to the Lady Jacks entering the bottom of the second inning.
TSU starter Jasmine Fulmore, who received the loss, was chased after 1.1 innings, during which she allowed seven earned runs on seven hits.
Lauren Rodriguez allowed six runs on nine hits in 3.1 innings of relief work.
Texas Southern's runs came on a two-run single by Kacey Creel in the second inning. SFA responded by scoring six runs over the final two innings of the game.
