GRAMBLING, La. – Twenty one points and 10 boards from Keiana Vines helped Texas Southern collect its eighth consecutive victory Monday afternoon as it topped Grambling State, 62-50 at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Arena.
Adding to the Lady Tigers' scoring resume was Joyce Kennerson who claimed 13 points and five rebounds. Toni Cheadle also earned 10 rebounds and eight points, while Brianna Sidney collected nine points and four rebounds.
Jazmine Boyd led GSU with 11 points with four boards. She was joined by Bre'nae Andrews and John'ea Thompson who each netted nine points.
TSU was perfect from the free throw line, making all 13 of its attempts. It shot 30.6 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the line.
Grambling State made 19-of-62 shots from the field, 6-for-18 from three-point range and registered 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.
