HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers softball team raced out to a 4-0 advantage and later held off an SFA comeback attempt as TSU won a entertaining 6-4 game over the visiting Ladyjacks on Tuesday. Â
The Lady Tigers (14-14) jumped out to a lead with four runs off three RBI singles in the first inning, but the Ladyjacks would counter with runs in the second, third and fourth innings.
Texas Southern regained the lead with two runs in the fifth inning, as Chanler Powell and Gisella Paranich notched back-to-back RBI hits to put the Lady Tigers up for good at 6-4
TSU's Jasmin Fulmore picked up the win after allowing four runs on eight hits and five walks over a complete seven innings.
The Lady Tigers return home this weekend to face Grambling State on Friday and Saturday at Memorial Park at 3:00 and 12:00 pm respectively.
