GRAMBLING- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers softball team claimed an impressive 9-2 win over Mississippi Valley State on Sunday in a make-up contest played at the neutral site of Grambling State.
Thomasina Garza and Brianna Simpson led the way with three RBIs each at the plate.
Madison Staton got the victory inside the circle as she tossed 5.1 innings allowing five hits and just two earned runs.
Texas Southern will now get set to travel to face Arkansas-Pine Bluff this upcoming weekend.
