Lady Tigers sweep doubleheader with Huston-Tillotson

HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers softball team swept their doubleheader with Huston-Tillotson winning game one by a score of 17-2 and game two 12-3. 

Thomasina Garza and Chanler Powell each hit homeruns as the Lady Tigers got all of the offense they would need out of there line-up in both contest.

"We wanted come out and play well today," said TSU head coach Worley Barker. "I thought we did a good job with our pitch selection and overall as a team we played soild on defense."

Texas Southern will compete in the UT Invitational this weekend in Austin. All of the Lady Tigers games at the event will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network.
