Amir Bloom was named 2013 All-SWAC Defensive lineman First Team.

Bloom, a sophomore from Miami, Florida, led the conference with 8 sacks despite missing the last two games of the season because of an injury. His 13.5 TFLs were 3rd in the SWAC. He finished the season with 30 tackles (22 UA), 2 quarterback hurries, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and a safety.
