Texas Southern golfer Kassandra Rivera won the first tournament of the season by 9 strokes over the NCAA Division I golfers. 
 
Texas Southern competed in the Alabama State University Fall Golf Classic on the RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill par 72 golf course in Prattville, AL.  Rivera shot 76 and 71 respectively for a 147, three over par final score.  Her second round 71 was the lowest score of the tournament.
