Tigers finish SWAC Championships in 2nd place

ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Texas Southern Tigers golf team finished in 2^nd place at the 2017 SWAC Championships on Wednesday.

The Tigers finished 13 shots behind Alabama State. Alcorn State finished in third, with a final round score 306 for a three round total of 911. Prairie View A&M would place in fourth, after a final round 301 and would conclude the championship with a score of 929. 

Texas Southern junior Tom McLaughlin (pictured above) would shoot a final round 79 to finish in fourth. Renior Knox, also of Texas Southern, Patricio Minondo of Alabama State and Kyle Smith of Texas Southern would finish in a tie for fifth to round out the top five.

The All-Conference team was also announced.  The complete team is below.
