Tigers Golf in second place at SWAC Championships

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Texas Southern sits in 2^nd place after the first round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference men's golf championship on Monday. 

Alabama State would fire a team score of three-under-par (285), to finish the day atop the leaderboard.  TSU ended the day in second after shooting a team score of 15-over-par (303).

Alcorn State would round out the top three, shooting a team score of 306 in the opening round.

Kyle Smith of Texas Southern, and Daniel Racioppa would each finish at one-under par after rounds of 71, to finish in a tied for third.

Day two of the championship will continue on Tuesday, April 18^th  as players will tee off beginning at 8 a.m. CT.
