OAKLAND, Michigan- The Texas Southern Tigers placed a total of four players in double figures highlighted by Demontrae Jefferson's 25 points (11-of-21) along with fellow teammate Donte Clark's 24 points (8-of-23) in a 97-87 road loss to the Oakland Grizzlies.
The Tigers trailed going into halftime 46-40. The back and forth contest included nine lead changes along five times in which the score was tied.
Texas Southern scored a total of 40 points inside the paint as center Trayvon Reed posted a double-double racking up 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Tigers will now get set to travel to face the Toledo Rockets on the road Saturday. Â
